Civil Engineering Database
The Civil Engineering Database is an on-line bibliographic information-retrieval system that consists of all the journal manuscripts and books published by ASCE since 1975. This computerized system was created to help civil engineers search through large quantities of information and find references to articles and manuscripts of specific interest. By entering simple English-language commands, one can ask the computer to locate relevant documents based on criteria such as subject, author, date, or journal. Thus, subscribers to this service have quick access to a large and diverse body of knowledge pertaining to the field of civil engineering.
Transactions
Transactions is a collection of informative abstracts derived from original manuscript. Transactions includes abstracts of Civil Engineering and Worldwide Projects magazine articles, journal papers and technical notes, manuals and reports, special publications, the president's annual address, the memoirs of deceased members, and detailed indexes. The keyword and author indexes direct the researcher to the original paper, technical note, discussion, or closure.
ASCE Publications Information
This bimonthly publication serves the dual purpose of assuring current awareness and facilitating related information retrieval. Each issue includes abstracts of all papers and technical notes from the journals, Civil Engineering and Worldwide Projects feature articles, special publications, and manuals and reports published in the two previous months. Facsimiles of the tables of contents from the journals, Civil Engineering and Worldwide Projects are also included. The subject index provides a quick reference service to the abstract and the journal manuscript. An author index is also included.
