THE DEBATE over global warming has become more divisive with a large percentage of weather forecasters spreading doubt about its causes or even its existence. In a newly released survey by researchers at George Mason University and the University of Texas at Austin, only 31 percent of weather forecasters believed that global warming is caused mostly by human activity. That is in sharp contrast with another survey showing that 97 percent of climatologists believe humans play a major role in warming.
