The Berkeley Public Policy Journal (formerly PolicyMatters Journal), a student publication from the Goldman School of Public Policy, is pleased to announce the call for submission for its Spring 2018 issue. Early submissions are encouraged, as articles will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Publication in the Berkeley Public Policy Journal is a great way for students to showcase their work, whether they choose to submit final papers for classes, or research completed through summer internships or past employment. Students may peruse recent issues of the journal on their website.
Submitters are encouraged to review past issues in our archive for a sense of expected tone and content. We encourage the following types of submissions:
• Articles consist of independent research on a timely policy issue and its design, implementation, or practice. The article should incorporate independent research and support claims with original evidence. (3,000–5,000 words)
• Commentaries are shorter articles that discuss ethical questions and personal opinions on a particular topic. (max 2,000 words) • Visuals include infographics, political/satirical cartoons, data visualizations, or graphics.
Please note that articles should be submitted using the online submission form.
