part of its efforts to assess the feasibility and potential benefits
of the development of a national database of air passenger travel
characteristics from air passenger surveys, NEXTOR is undertaking
a survey of airport authorities, regional planning agencies, airport
and aviation consultants and others. The purpose of the survey
is to identify the frequency with which air passenger surveys
have been performed at a variety of airports of different size
and function and to assess the likely support for and use of such
a database.
To
reflect
the differences in the role and needs of airport authorities and
other organizations with respect to air passenger survey information,
there are three different versions of the survey for:

The
findings of the survey will be presented in a project report that
will be posted on this website and sent to responding organizations.
The published survey results will present the findings by category
of responding organization and not identify the responses from individual
organizations by name.
