BTSis distributed by Mctrans, the Center for Microcomputers in Transportation.

BTS is a collection of microcomputer programs created to help small transportation and public works agencies meet their responsibilities in traffic operations and safety. There are 11 modules for tracking:

  • Signals
  • Lighting
  • Road geometry
  • Signs
  • Accidents
  • Road markings
  • Citations
  • Customer comments
  • Speed studies
  • Volume studies
  • Capacity analysis

The programs are written in dBase IV and were last updated in 1990. They are available for download as a zip archive. The user manual is available as ITS publication UCB-ITS-TD-86-2, The Berkeley Traffic System (BTS) User's Guide by Edward C Sullivan and Juan Gaviria.

These programs are provided as is with no support available from the Institute of Transportation Studies.
